The Heirloom Sweater by LYONS of Scotland™ is created by Grant Lyons in collaboration with Roy Hakimian and Active Cashmere, New York based makers of luxury cashmere knitwear. Our goal is to make the world’s most loved sweater and for you to wear it for life, the idea that if you look after it, it will look after you and last a lifetime,

Sustainability mission.

Each sweater is made to order so there’s no waste, and made in New York for a largely New York and east coast customer so we lean hyper local. Our partners, Active Cashmere are a family cashmere business for over 60 years. Their unique access to the world’s finest cashmere stems from their longstanding relationships with Scottish manufacturing and generations of responsible and transparent fiber sourcing initiated by the company’s founder, one of the leading suppliers of raw material to top mills in the industry. They source cashmere at the highest industry standards from villages in Inner Mongolia. They work with eco-friendly and green facilities that recycle the water used in their yarn manufacturing process, and knitters that eliminate fabric waste through utilizing the latest garment-knitting techniques and machinery.

Machine Washable, Water Repellent.

The Active Cashmere® proprietary technology and globally tested treatment process enables the garments to be water repellent, machine washable and durable without compromising the soft hand feel, lightweight nature, and breathability of the cashmere. Water repels off of the garment's surface, maintaining dryness on the inside, and eliminating wetness, staining, odor and water absorption. You can machine wash our garments without the risk of shrinking or pilling, maintaining their original shape and form over countless washes. DO NOT PUT IN DRYER.
